I spent some of my life's most memorable moments in the last five days at barefoot resort at havelock. The thing that touched my heart the most was the personal touch. I felt so close to each of the people on my way out. This was the first holiday in which I really felt handheld. The warmth of the people was amazing. Right from the first call I got for the booking to the airport drop, I could feel that the people at barefoot put their heart and soul in the work they do. It was truly passion personified. The people in their chennai office, the front office at the resort, the barman, the restaurant, the food was awesome. It felt like I was amongst family. I couldn't believe how many people my son connected with at the place. Am definitely looking forward to my next trip ASAP. the location of the resort is superb. The food was great. The privacy perfect. But as I said before and wouldmlike to repeat. The people took my heart away. One will find many seven star luxury places. But the people and their touch, I ain't too sure. A must stay place. And needless to say, andamans isn a must visit place. Wondering why it's not listed in the book 1000 places to see before I die !

I wanted to take this opportunity to share my feedback on our stay at Barefoot resort Havelock.

It was the most amazing stay that we had there…………..Everything was excellent from the courteous staff to the excellent food to the wonderful Nicobari cottage. Personally I would like to mention our thanks to Mr. John (GM) who personally saw that we had a wonderful time there and went all out to make sure of it. Overall a great experience and will look forward to visiting you again!

Dear Barefoot,

We have the most wonderful stay at your place and we can ajour that al was perfect. We enjoy that the beach wasn't at all crowded and that you have to go to the other side of the Island to come with snorkling just to the beach beside (elephant beach) seemed at one point a little bit strange but it is a very god choice so the beach at your resort remains silent. The big elephant which just walked around was a great surprise. The cottage was also very fine. If i may come with a little improvemnet the scooter I was driving on had only one mirror in the left side and the helmet was very old. Be aware that all person has to wear helmet where we come from in Denmark thats an important safety rule. And maybe a little information about the crocodile how many there are and where not to snorkel. But a really great stay, comming from Chennai where we have lived in 8 months we enjoy the good kitchen with lots af good choices and most of all salad. And we find it very good that the breakfast was served and not the useally big breakfast buffet.

Thank you for your follow up email. Our 3 night stay at Barefoot Havelock was fantastic! The rooms were beautiful and clean, and well designed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Staff throughout the resort and restaurant were attentive and friendly at all times, and it made our stay comfortable and easy. We thoroughly enjoyed the fact that at no time did we feel staff were pushy to sell any of the services at the resort (which we had found at other resorts on the Island), everything was easily accessible and staff were relaxed and discreet, and always willing to help. We only have one small piece of advice regarding the massage we had. The head, neck and shoulder massage was lovely, however we expected to be more comfortable throughout the massage, as opposed to sitting on a small and uncomfortable stool for over half of the treatment. Maybe a more comfortable alternative could be used. But on the whole, we had a beautiful stay at the resort, and will highly recommend it to our friends and family! Thank you again.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you too and all your staff who assisted me in various ways to have a really fabulous vacation at Andaman's. Am a versatile traveler myself, and can tell that yours is one of the best resorts and situated at a perfectly awesome location I have ever spent my vacation time in. Have already referred your services to my friend Vinay who is under the process of making his reservations too hope he enjoys the stay and comfort as much as we did. As regards some feedback, I would rather say that your front desk manager (Mr John) with Barefoot at Havelock (Radhanagar) needs to be more respectful towards ladies,  accommodative and attentive of ones requirement. The lady on the same desk is very welcoming and covers up for the mans mishap, also just so that you know due to John we had to come all the way back from our Scuba site post an amazing dive experience to Radhanagar only to complete checkout formalities since he never arranged the paper work in the morning and the Irony being I was also charged transfer charges between scuba and radhanagar  :) One more feedback being variety on food menu, I know the resort is predominantly occupied with people of non Indian origin but would have loved to have some real special Indian delicacy on the food menu and on the Bar menu would have preferred to have few more International beers too. Net net as I already said, it was a very very relaxing and nice vacation and the memories from this trip are going to be with us until I visit you again !!

We had a fabulous time at the resort. The resort and its natural beauty is stunningly calm. The resort staff were extremely friendly as well and we were always made to feel at home. The one aspect where you could improve a lot is the food. The italian cusine was decent , but the indian dishes could do with a lot of improvement. We also would have loved it if your woodoven pizza was available on more than one occasion as that was scrumptuous. Unfortunatly during our 6 nights period it was available only once. Rest all was absolutely perfect and we look forward to visitng again.

The property is beautiful, untouched and unspoiled by things like television, telephones in the room and other such modern must-haves. We hope that you will continue to NOT provide them! My boyfriend and me spent recently a perfect time on Havelock Island (Andaman and Nicobar Islands) and we enjoyed a lot the service of Barefoot group -- we were diving, tried snorkling, and spent fantastic time in a Barefoot Bar and Brasserie restaurant in the Village No1, next to the Jetty. It was a fantastic time and we are going to remember this vacations forever! But at some point we got a serious trouble and needed help. And one of the waiters of this Restaurant helped us really a lot. We are incredibly grateful and would like to say thank you directly to him. But the problem is, that we can't find any contacts of the Barefoot Bar and Brasserie Restaurant. Could you please help us and give any contact information -- an email, or a cell / phone number, so that we could reach the restaurant directly?

Thanks lot for your wonderful services.
Our stay in The Nest, Port Blair was good .Also the pick and drop facility provided was very efficient  and made our travel hassle free . The resort in Barefoot is so beautiful ..and service was good ..staff were so friendly and helping and made our stay incredible.. the restaurant also serve yummy food  and staff is so accommodating and caring ...as we travelled with a baby we were a bit hesitant..but kids menu and other special care given by your staff helped us a lot ..thanks a ton for that..
But there is a small concern..it is regarding the Thai fish curry served. The fish tasted bad and I feel it was not fresh fish. we couldn’t even eat a piece. as we were in hurry we didn’t have time to order a different item also...People expect good sea food in an area surrounded by sea..this was a small disappointment..Please ensure that you serve good sea food as people are away from home..and if they fall sick it would spoil the whole fun of travel..
Otherwise Barefoot group deserves a great applause for maintaining such a beautiful resort in mid of the forest with all modern amenities..Special thanks to Yamin, Karthik, Manoharan from port Blair..Also special thanks to John and his wife...and all the staff in Mahua for making our stay wonderful.
We would definitely recommend Barefoot to anyone who is planning an Andaman Trip

Thank you for your note. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at your property. I think all your staff are warm and courteous and add to making the experience that much more special. A special mention to John from the front desk and Kshitij from the restaurant who thoroughly impressed with their can do attitude. The room was great as well and décor, housekeeping and cleanliness were great.
Overall a memorable experience and will definitely visit the islands again. If there are any areas of opportunity I would say it would be a slightly more expanded food menu, considering that a stay of about 5 days would mean probably an average of 10 meals per guest at the resort.

We had a great time,
Our specific comments
a) Food excellent. We only ate Indian selections all of which were superb.
b) Room excellent. We liked the overall feel of it and decor and furnishings. Bathroom and shower could be a little more luxurious ( in comparison to other resorts in other parts of the world similar to you) but is entirely functional
c) Staff - outstanding. All were friendly and courteous. Room cleaning was unobtrusive and speedy.
d) Only negative point was our arrival....we weren't met at the jetty, then there was general confusion about whether we were expected or not, ending in us taking another vehicle from the jetty, then to be swapped into another once the resort sorted out who we were and agreed we were expected!!!! The drivers are a bit quiet and seem a bit sullen, but maybe their English wasn't so good?
e) We liked the fact that there was no "hard sell" of activities - some places are a bit pushy in that regard. My wife did yoga and enjoyed it - I went fishing a couple of days at Scuba and all were well organised. ( Although you have a great opportunity to offer fly fishing which should be developed more!!!!)

We had a terrific 13 days at Barefoot and enjoyed the resort and what it had to offer. Of particular note, the beach was fab, the restaurant, food and service was superb and high quality, the rooms were a good size, bed was comfortable and just as big as we have at home!.. the room was cleaned every day and when we asked for t he room to be de-bugged this was done. However, I do have one thing that happened the night before we left, I was bitten quite badly from fleas/or something small (from the bed) which only happened on the last night - not sure if the rain had anything to do what that? Anyway, overall we had a restful and enjoyable stay and would recommend to friends/family the island and resort.

    Thanks, again.. I can't say enough good about the Havelock resort & The Nest, it was easily the best resort I've stayed at.  My regards go out to the staff there and organisers who made a daunting trip a possibility.

Our time at Barefoot on Havelock was excellent.  The way in which the transfers to / from the resort were really well arranged and made the whole journey stress-free.  The food / drink was excellent, the rooms were always well serviced and kept really clean.  The staff in the restraunt, bar and front desk were really friendly and helpful.  I haven't got a bad word to say about the whole experience at Barefoot @ Havelock!!  Keep up the good work.

Also, we were both very impressed with 'the nest' at Port Blair.  It had everything we wanted and the staff there were very welcoming.  Again, it was excellent.
